- We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. BACKGROUND
Soccer Talents Academy is an education and charity school using the tool of football to change lives of young people. The academy is located in Jinja District, Uganda.
We are a Christ – Centered Academy and we are founded on Born Again Faith Foundation. We are uncompromisingly biblical and unashamedly Christian. We find our joy in Jesus Christ and doing this work until He returns or calls us home.
The academy was started in the year 2022 and was founded by Mugulusi Geoffrey together with other members. Soccer Talents Academy is affiliated to Light of Hope Orphans Care Organization which is a charity and non profit organization that provides care and support for orphans, vulnerable children and poor families in Uganda.
The Academy is committed to building faith in God, Love for His word and promote talents, social change and development of under privileged children, youths and people in the community. We aim to use football as a tool to instill Christian values and promote talents, discipline, good morals and social change among the young children, youths and community.
God is generous and so He calls us to be as well. What we do with what God has given us shows the World where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the Gospel and bring change. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives and that includes what we do with our resources.
The Academy was started to respond to the dire needs of young children and youths in our community. These children and youths love sports especially soccer football but they had no one to help provide the necessary resources and incentives. Their talents therefore go unspotted, unappreciated and unsupported because there is no one willing to help and take such responsibility which leaves the young children and youths in despair. These young children and youths lack proper guidance, lack sports equipments such as soccer balls, soccer boots, cleats, soccer uniforms etc for use in sports. That is why Soccer Talents Academy exists; we are committed to restore hope and fill this gap through provision of basic sports equipments, proper guidance, resources and infrastructure for the young children and youths and break the barriers that limit young children and youths from participating in the beautiful game of football sport which they love most.
Through sports especially football, we encourage children and youths to engage and participate in constructive leisure and recreation. We use football to bring children and youths closer together, instill discipline, good morals, Godly and Christian values in them.
We provide the beautiful game of football to both young boys and girls and the youths in the community and our emphasis and priority is on the orphans, vulnerable children, youths and children from poor families who are underprivileged, disadvantaged and had no opportunity before. These children and youths come from families that are greatly affected by extreme poverty, HIV/AIDs epidemic and other diseases and therefore need to be helped.
