TALENTS DEVELOPMENT, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AND SOCIAL CHANGE
We spot and discover children and youths with football and sports talents and we help them realize their potential through providing the necessary guidance and basic sports equipments such as soccer balls, soccer boots, cleats, soccer uniforms, bibs, cones etc that are essential in football talents development and promotion.
We also use the tool of football sport to teach essential life skills such as communication, leadership, discipline and motivation which help to give young children and youths a focus keeping them away from temptation of drugs, alcohol, prostitution and other inappropriate and anti social behaviors which become major problems if these young children and youths are not guided properly and taught the right way to behave. Football sport brings the children and youths closer together, through football sport, they can be taught good morals, discipline and good behaviors. “Sport has the power to change the World. We use football sport to sensitize, mobilize and create awareness among the children and youths on important issues regarding health such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases spread, prevention and control measures, sanitation, environmental protection, development among others.
There is still a big challenge in developing talents, many children and youths in our community still lack access to sports gear equipments and infrastructure. For example majority of the children and youths in our community are still playing balls that they make from plastics, polythene and paper bags and they play with bare foot which put them at high risk of foot and other body injuries because they are exposed to cuttings from objects and the grounds where they play football from.
Besides this, the play grounds which they use are in very poor state with soil and stones and this leaves these children and youths often vulnerable to injuries hence kicking them out of the game of football at an early stage and because of all these challenges, many are discouraged from participating in sports.
Soccer Talents Academy in its efforts to promote and develop talents, skills development and promoting social change, we provide basic sports gear and equipments such as modern soccer balls, soccer boots, cleats, soccer uniforms, bibs e.t.c in order to empower children and youths and encourage them to engage and participate in the game of football sport for the good and betterment of their lives. However, the number of children and youths is overwhelming and the need for sports gear and equipments is great yet our financial base is limited. Soccer Talents Academy is seeking for generous individuals, Christian Academies, Churches, companies, sports partners and well wishers that can support us to continue with this work that the Lord placed on our hearts. SPIRITUAL SUPPORT AND DEVELOPMENT
The Bible says “Follow me and I will make you finishers of men” (Mathew 4:19). With soccer football, you can get kids and youths like fish.
We seek to make disciples through our strategy of encouraging, equipping and empowering children, youths, coaches and community at large to know, grow in Christ and also lead others to do the same.
Our football program instills and strengthens the core values and beliefs of the Christian faith.
We teach the true and un compromised Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the children, youths and community to enhance their relationship with God and we train them how to serve God in every environment. We teach our Academy players to put God first in their life, football brings them to the field but it is continual spiritual guidance that inspires trust in God’s Love.
We are committed to building faith in God and Love for His word. We provide Christ – Centered and quality football and sport education for our Academy players in a caring Christian environment. We do this to advance God’s kingdom by providing Christ – Centered football sports training that prepares hearts and minds of the players (children and youths) to follow and believe Jesus Christ. Our primary aim on the field is to honor Christ, we not only instruct players in the skills and laws of the game of football but we extend the role to discipleship with intentional emphasis on the character and hearts of the players to follow Jesus Christ and do acts that glorify God.
The Holy Bible is our primary source of all the spiritual knowledge we teach. Football helps us to bring the children and youths closer together and we share the word of God with them.
Through sports evangelism, we endeavor to take and preach the Gospel to the young generation and life has not remained the same since we started sports evangelism. Football sport is hugely popular amongst young people worldwide than any other voluntary activity and therefore a credible and attractive way providing a platform to both share the Gospel with them and as well develop their talents.
Soccer Talents Academy would like to continue with this good work of nurturing souls spiritually and we need your support, our financial base is small and yet we would like to continue doing the good job of sharing the Gospel to our Academy players, children, youth and people in the community. EDUCATION
Education is an important aspect in life and we ensure that the children and youths we serve on our Academy programs continue in schools and get basic education. We lobby education scholarships and sponsorship for these children, even for those that had dropped out of school due to various reasons such as poverty, neglect, hopelessness etc; their hopes are revived and ways are paved to get them back into school and they are potential beneficiaries from our programs. We provide the necessary school supplies and also try to find sponsors who can contribute tuition and support the education of these children and youths.
We still have a very big challenge, our finances and resource base is small yet the number of children and youths in need is overwhelming. We do not want them to be denied opportunity to play football and also get the education they deserve.

HEALTH CARE & NUTRITION
We provide health education through football on health issues such as HIV/ADS awareness, treatment, prevention and control measures and also on other diseases such as malaria, typhoid among others. We also provide and deliver information on first aid and run community programmes and tournaments that promote health messages creating sensitization and awareness on various health issues.
We encourage the young children and youths to participate in football and other sports activities and through the physical exercises they do during sports practices and games, they are kept physically fit and mentally healthy which is also another way of preventing diseases such as obesity, stress, anxiety and other mental health diseases which originate from lack of exercise and poor health. In collaboration with health partners and other development partners, Soccer Talents Academy provides medical care, health checkups, provide nutritious food and basic health information for the players (children and youths) on our program. However, our funds and resource base is small and we are still in much need of health partners, generous individuals, churches and well wishers to join us and support this work that we do. PROMOTION OF ENTERPRISE & EMPLOYABILITY
We also aim to support the youths and community members into employment and enterprise opportunities. We provide quality all-round Football business education to enhance youth employability, develop future leaders in sports and produce well-rounded football professionals. We also equip them with vocational education and skills training to prepare youths for the job market.
Through our talent promotion and development programmes, we prepare the youths for the readily available sport job market, when they learn and their football talents grow, interested sports teams/clubs sign them for professional contracts and they get opportunity to continue develop their talents as well as earn some paid income from the teams/clubs they play for. Many children and youths from our Academy programmes have turned into professional players, some have got opportunity to play at professional club and national team levels. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND SUSTAINABILITY
Using the tool of football, we motivate, encourage, create awareness and sensitization on issues regarding environment protection and sustainability. Through our programmes, we aim to maintain (and recovering when necessary) a healthy natural environment. We embrace environmental, social and economic pathways to deliver long term equitable growth which benefits current and future generations. We educate our players, children, youths and community to engage in activities such as volunteer cleanups, tree planting, re-use and recycle of used materials, sustainable agriculture, water and environmental conservation among others.
